A multi-media artist, writer, editor with a BA from Yale, I produce visual & written content for all media. My passion for climate & social justice emerges in my novels, nonfiction book & client work.
Ready for the Grade
I provided creative direction for the new READy for the Grade website, a project of NewAlliance Foundation. I also wrote all content for the site.
*note - NewAlliance Foundation named the project 'READy for the Grade.' The all caps in the first part of the word 'ready' is not a typo.
Yale Manual for Psilocybin-Assisted Therapy of Depression (editor)
The Yale Manual for Psilocybin-Assisted Therapy of Depression provides researchers and therapists with methods, structure, and areas to consider regarding the use of psychedelic-assisted therapy in the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). In particular, this manual illustrates a mode of utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as a therapeutic framework for psilocybin-assisted therapy of depression.
The lead authors of the manual hired me to conduct a structural and line edit and to format the manuscript for publication as a printable PDF.
NHS New Haven (project manager, communications strategist, graphic designer, writer)
I rebranded Neighborhood Housing Services of New Haven, which included a new name (NHS New Haven), a new logo, and a new website design.
I also developed a communications strategy for 2019 and initiated the implementation of that strategy across all social media channels, eNewsletter, print collateral, and on the new website. My work included writing and graphic design.
Sustainable CT (editor)
My passion for environmental stewardship has been a common thread in many of my endeavors. As a journalist and creative writer, I have covered environmental topics including e-Waste, landmines, climate change, agricultural issues, waste management, invasive species, and wildlife rehabilitation for a variety of audiences. So working with the Institute for Sustainable Energy was a natural fit. In less than a month, I edited sixty action documents for SustainableCT.org.
ROI: 26 early-adopting municipalities when the site launched in November 2017.
2017 Pathfinder Annual Report
In conjunction with the new website design, the 2017 Pathfinder Annual Report led to a 36% increase in donor engagement.
Pathfinder Program at Hopkins School (project manager, messaging strategist, writer, designer)
Producing the website and 2017 Annual Report for the Pathfinder Program at Hopkins School involved project management, hiring subcontractors (photographers, videographers, printers), interviewing students and faculty, writing and editing the content, and designing the assets and layout.
ROI: a 36% increase in donor involvement.
Stoneleigh-Burnham School (messaging strategist & web writer)
Working from an existing brand brief and creative brief, I collaborated with Stoneleigh-Burnham School to determine a messaging strategy and write the copy for their new website. They loved my headlines so much, they turned them into banners, which now line the school’s winding driveway.
In the three years following completion of the new website, Stoneleigh-Burnham saw record enrollment.

New Haven Promise Delivers on its Promise (writer)
Putting college within reach.
“When I was in high school, I hated it,” says Isaac Bloodworth, pointing to Jean-Michel Basquiat’s Ankle, in the Yale University Art Gallery. “It didn’t make sense. I thought it looked like chicken scratch.” Today, Bloodworth is a 2017 graduate of the University of Connecticut and a four-time summer intern at the gallery, and he sees Ankle very differently. “This piece is one that shows my evolution as a black man,” he says. “I fell in love with the piece.”

An Interview with Award-Winning Author Mira Bartók. (writer)
Writers often look for a GPS to guide their way from obscurity to success. Author/illustrator Mira Bartók has enjoyed the kind of success many of us only dream may be ours. Her memoir, The Memory Palace, won the National Book Critics Circle Award in 2012. In 2015, with only a quarter of the first book written, Bartók found her middle-grade novel series, The Wonderling, in the midst of a bidding war that resulted in a six-figure advance from Candlewick Press and a seven-figure movie deal.
